Location Guide

This is an overview of some of my favorite locations in the Bay Area as well as the recommended time for the best light, if applicable. Keep in mind that some outdoor locations may look different over the course of the year.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at hello@micaelago.com

Note: This guide is the result of years of scouting and research and uses sample photos from actual sessions I’ve done at these locations. It was compiled to give you an idea of a few of the many options we have in the area. Please refrain from sharing this without prior permission.

China Beach, San Francisco

Recommended times: Sunrise for a bridge view (photo shown is close to sunset which resulted in direct sunlight - not ideal but still doable! Sunrise is definitely preferred), or sunset for a view with the rocky structures.

Conservatory of Flowers, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

Anytime of day for the area outside the building; the conservatory’s hours are Tuesday-Sunday 10am-4:30pm

Kite Hill Park

Recommended time: early morning, but late afternoon works too.
