2022 guide to portrait sessions

Below is a comparison of two of my most commonly requested portrait session types: Portrait Sessions and Field Camera Sessions.

What sets Field Camera Sessions apart from my standard portrait sessions are that they are taken on a film camera, you get a handful of black & white photos (sent to you digitally) and we donate 100% of the money made from them.

All sessions are currently entirely outdoors, safely distanced and we will be wearing masks. The most common location is outside your home, but if you have somewhere else in mind or would like help choosing a location, let me know on your session request form. If your request is accepted, I will send a booking link directly to you via email.

Portrait Session

Portrait sessions are my standard portrait offering.

You will receive a mix of the candid, dynamic, natural, timeless portraits I always deliver, taken from a safe distance, outdoors only. Includes portraits, family, headshots, etc.

Starts at $750
You receive approximately 30 edited digital files in a personal web gallery where you can download them directly
Outdoor location only
Sessions typically last between 30-60 minutes
1-2 week turnaround time

Field Camera Session

Field Camera Sessions are portraits on film, taken with a large format 4x5 camera. 100% of proceeds go to organizations helping the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Portraits are carefully set up and can take several minutes for each individual photo. Includes portraits, family, headshots, etc.

We request a minimum $200 donation
You receive at least 2-3 black & white digital files scanned from film negatives
Outdoors only, ideally outside your home
Sessions typically last between 15-30 minutes
Taken with a large format 4x5 film camera - on black & white film negatives and hand processed by us
1-2 week turnaround time
100% of proceeds go to organizations supporting BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities
